Partner

We are thrilled to have Sangeen join our team after a long courtship. Much like any relationship, the timing had to be right. Luckily for us, it was and he hopped on board at the end of 2018 as our newest investing partner.

Sangeen grew up as a passionate Cornhusker fan, in Omaha, Nebraska, which fueled his love for all sports at an early age.  To this day his wife teases him about watching too much Red Zone. Sports isn’t his only passion, however, as he is also a world traveler and has lived in places like Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and even Pakistan. He currently lives in the South Bay with his wife, Jameela, and young son, Esah.

With an MBA and a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, it was a given that Sangeen would land himself somewhere between the worlds of finance and technology.

He began his career as a technology investor as an Associate at Summit Partners where he specialized in identifying and investing in technology companies of all stages.

After business school, he joined Green Dot Corp where he led the launch of GoBank, a mobile banking application, managing product distribution and business development activities. In 2013, he joined Centerview as a Senior Associate and then as a Principal where he led investments in Sauce Labs and Affirmed Networks. He also worked on Centerview’s investments in Acquia and SecureWorks.

How does he do it all, you ask? Given how busy his professional life is he does manage to make time for the things he loves most, such as being with his family, listening to podcasts, boot-camps and trying to get to the beach as much as he possibly can. Oh, and you can’t forget about his love for pizza. Sangeen claims the best pizza he’s ever had is from a little place called Zios in his hometown of Omaha.

We’re excited to grow into the future with him on our team as he definitely has what it takes to bring Founders Circle to the next level. Sangeen, I’m honored to hand over the “New Guy” baton to you, my friend. Welcome aboard!
