"The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively” - Bob Marley

Smart, enthusiastic, and hungry to learn – Tyler has been a burst of energy and an invaluable addition to the Founders Circle team. I must confess, being an avid skier myself, I was initially captivated by Tyler’s experience growing up as a competitive slopestyle skier in Vermont. But getting to know him more and seeing how quickly he adapted and thrived during his internship, it became evident that Tyler was perfectly suited to be our investment analyst.

Like many of us, Tyler took an unconventional path to the venture capital industry. Initially majoring in physics at the University of Chicago, a chance internship at an eCommerce startup planted the seeds for Tyler’s future career in finance. As he continued his undergraduate science studies, internships at Silicon Valley Bank and Credit Suisse further piqued Tyler’s interest in capital markets and venture investment and encouraged him to major in economics. Rather than taking the traditional investment banking route, Tyler’s desire to invest in and work alongside startups ultimately led him to an internship with Founders Circle (and we couldn’t be happier about that).

Outside of work, Tyler continues to indulge his love of skiing (though with much less acrobatic tricks and much more backcountry). The move to San Francisco has also allowed him to take up golfing and embrace surfing the ocean waves with his friends.

We’re so excited to have Tyler and benefit from his analytical mind and adventurous spirit. And I can’t wait to hit the slopes with him!
