"Ships are safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for." - John Shedd

A lifelong athlete, Caroline competitively ski raced, sailed, and played lacrosse, experiences that instilled discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of teamwork early on. In high school, she completed a month-long NOLS course, backpacking 120 miles through Wyoming’s Wind River Range, which was an intense test of endurance and collaboration under pressure. Around the same time, she founded DevelopingCures, a nonprofit aimed at addressing Neglected Tropical Diseases. While she quickly realized she wouldn’t solve global health challenges from her bedroom, the experience sparked an early interest in venture capital and innovation.

Caroline earned her B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College. There, she spent her off-term working at a fintech startup in London, gaining firsthand exposure to early-stage company building in a global context.

She began her career in strategy consulting before pivoting to equity research at JPMorgan in New York. These formative roles sharpened both her qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and built the rigorous toolkit she brings to venture capital today. Two years ago, she made the move to San Francisco and transitioned into VC, a pivotal leap that solidified her calling.

She thrives on digging under the hood of companies, developing deep industry expertise, and partnering closely with founders to understand the vision and people behind the product. For Caroline, venture capital is the ideal blend of intellectual rigor and human connection.

Caroline was drawn to Founders Circle Capital for its institutional-grade diligence and community-driven ecosystem, a combination that reflects the balance of IQ and EQ she has intentionally cultivated throughout her career.

Outside of work, Caroline takes full advantage of the Bay Area’s outdoor access – biking, running, and skiing whenever she can. She also serves on the board of Synergist, a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting women in the early decades of their careers, where she helps lead educational and networking programming for the San Francisco chapter.
